Casey Tisdale (she/her) is a Ph.D. student who graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln College of Law with her Masters of Legal Studies (MLS) in May 2021. Originally from Ohio, she completed her undergraduate degree at Ohio University in December 2017 with a dual-BA in Psychology and Sociology, a minor in French, and a certificate in Law, Justice, & Culture. Her research focuses on empathy and sympathy in legal decision-making as well as prosecutor plea bargaining decisions. She currently works as the Business Manager of Scientific Resources for the Law - a graduate student-run trial consulting company. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing complex strategy board games, and taking her dog, Shaemus, for walks.
